Tamiya Suzuki Jimny JB23 (MF-01X)
The critically acclaimed initial model on this platform, the MF-01X, is a tiny chassis that is poised to revolutionise the M-Chassis genre by emulating the iconic Suzuki Jimny off-road vehicle from Japan. Naturally, the Jimny has been available for purchase in many forms since 1970, garnering a large following due to its adaptability and durability. One of the third generation Jimnys, which had a modernised, rounder body design and was first debuted in 1998, is the JB23 represented by this model. It had a fierce tiny 658cc fuel-injected turbocharged engine and was well-liked in the Japanese home market.
A propeller shaft that runs along the side of the MF- 01X transfers power from the rear mounted motor to the front wheels. The monocoque's integrated gearboxes provide a robust and simple-to-assemble construction.
The MF-01X is composed of three sections; the wheelbases of short (210mm), medium (225mm), and long (239mm) can be achieved by adjusting the central spacer part. The wheelbase used by item 58614 is middle; to switch to a short or long wheelbase, alternative parts item 54654 and item 54655 are required.
