Servos

In an RC car, a servo is a small device that is responsible for controlling the steering mechanism. When you move the steering wheel on the remote control, a signal is sent to the receiver in the RC car, which in turn sends a signal to the servo. The servo then adjusts the angle of the steering mechanism to turn the wheels in the desired direction. Inside the servo, there is a small electric motor that drives a gear train. The gear train is connected to a potentiometer, which is a type of variable resistor that can measure the position of the servo arm. The potentiometer sends feedback to the servo controller, which compares the desired position of the arm with the actual position of the arm and adjusts the motor to correct any difference.
