Around the world, mountain rescue crews put their lives in danger to save others. Whether they are on trails in the Alps and Pyrenees, or in the UK's mountains like Snowdonia, Brecon, or the Scottish Highlands, these teams, which are primarily made up of volunteers, are prepared to respond to a distress call for assistance.
With a few added features above the regular Kanyon, FTX's new Mountain Rescue edition Kanyon aims to evoke the mobile mindset of rescue teams. In order to help you travel both smooth and rugged terrain, a front bumper mounted winch can be operated from the transmitter to pull you out of a tight spot. A switchable 2-speed gearbox also offers high and low speeds.
The distinctive Kanyon body is finished in a new livery inspired by mountain rescue, and a radio antenna is provided in case you need to use the walkietalkie to contact base camp.
The drive required to essentially climb over most obstacles is produced by the same metal output gears, locked axles, and multi-link suspension, while a 60T brushed motor supplies the torque.
You won't have to wait long to be prepared for your first emergency call out thanks to a pre-made roof rack that is ready for you to fill with scale rescue equipment!
