With a reduced Capra tube chassis, the UTB18 shares design similarities with the well-liked 1/10 scale Axial Capra 1.9 4WD Unlimited Trail Buggy. The UTB18 has portal axles to provide it more ground clearance for manoeuvring, just like the larger trail buggy. The UTB18 is prepared to demonstrate that size has no bearing on crawling performance thanks to its sturdy 4-link suspension system and axle-mounted, low profile 1/10 scale servo for powerful, fast steering.

Also, the newest Spektrum electronics have been added to this strongest of tiny trail buggies. The Spektrum 2-in-1 ESC/receiver unit, Spektrum 2S Smart G2 LiPo battery, and Spektrum Smart USB LiPo battery charger are included with the UTB18 in addition to a Spektrum SLT2 2.4GHz radio.
