The Porsche 911 Turbo is the most well-known member of the 911 series, having achieved fame as the pinnacle of the model's design and performance.
The first Porsche street vehicle with a turbo engine was the 911 Turbo, which made its debut in 1975. The 3-liter, air-cooled, horizontally opposed 6-cylinder engine produced 260 horsepower and was equipped with a KKK turbocharger. Improved engine displacement and output of 3.3 litres and 300 horsepower, respectively, were standard on models manufactured after 1978. The 911 Turbo's eye-catching design, featuring its oversized rear wing and front and rear overfenders, along with its dependable performance, drew in enthusiasts from all over the world.
