Tamiya Toyota 4x4 Pick-Up Bruiser
Many people still admire the 4WD Toyota Hilux Pick-Up (RN36), which was popular in the 1980s and continues to be a favourite today, and this electric R/C construction kit recreates it. A lot of metal parts, a Type 540 engine, a 3-speed gearbox, and a ladder frame give this model a realistic appearance, just like the real thing. The model's metal front under guard and live axle suspension—which includes metal axle housings, leaf springs, and oil dampers—make it suitable for challenging off-road terrains. This model has a sleek, high-lift look thanks to its intricately injection-molded body and big 123mm tyres.
About the Toyota Hilux Pick-Up
1978 saw the introduction of the third generation Toyota Hilux Pick-up (30/40 Series), with the RN36 variant created especially for international markets. With a 98 horsepower 1,968cc 4-cylinder gasoline engine, it had a lightweight, athletic body. In order to give adequate approach/departure angles for exceptional off-road performance, the live axle suspension also had front leaf spring shackles positioned towards the back. The truck had a towering, muscular appearance because to its huge tyres and flared fenders on the front and back. Even today, there are still a lot of people who adore the RN36 model, which was primarily exported to North America but was also offered in Japan.
