Sledge is engineered to have the strongest chassis in the class. The triangulated structure integrates a deep-formed aluminium plate with a multi-point composite truss system and the full-length T-Bar. Built on this solid foundation, the chassis is designed to be strongest where it matters most.

Sledge's exclusive patent-pending clipless body solution, engineered by Traxxas, lets you remove and replace the body in just seconds. It goes on smoothly with a satisfying snap and is designed to come off when you release it.

Fitted with a high-performance metal gear servo, Sledge packs massive torque inside a heat-dissipating aluminium centre case. Powerful and reliable steering authority comes as standard, with no servo upgrade required.

The Velineon VXL-6s combines new hardware and tuning developed specifically for the 2000 Kv motor. Together, they deliver substantially more power under the curve for increased mid-range punch and hard-charging acceleration you can see and feel.

The belted Sledgehammer tyres feature a wide, open-block tread design that resists clogging with dirt or debris. Lightweight belting maintains each tyre's shape for a larger contact patch, more grip, and responsive handling at any speed, whether you are slinging mud or chasing speed records.

GT-Maxx aluminium shocks mount to the towers with 4 mm screws for superior strength. X-ring seals glide on large-diameter shafts, and the spring retainers are secured with screws to keep them firmly in place.

Sledge is fitted with a high-downforce wing designed to put the wind to work. Moulded-in wear pads are integrated directly into the wing to protect it against damage from ground-scraping wheelies.

Sledge's heavy-duty suspension arms are formed from Traxxas' toughest composite material. High-grade steel pins are pressed directly into the arms, an approach designed to produce tighter tolerances throughout the assembly.

Sledge's heavy-duty front and rear chassis braces are designed to combine with the aluminium chassis and the rigid T-Bar. Working in unison, these three elements form a radically strong triangulated structure throughout the chassis.

The Velineon VXL-6s speed control is custom-tuned to deliver punch throughout the RPM range. Whether accelerating off the line or powering out of a turn, Sledge responds with rocket-like thrust at every point in the rev range.

Sledge's aluminium T-Bar brace uses a unique profile to deliver cross-sectional stiffness that no round tube can match. The T-Bar keys precisely into the bulkheads so that impact forces are absorbed by the bulkheads themselves, rather than the attachment screws.

Sledge's chassis features flanged edges running from bulkhead to bulkhead to eliminate weak points. Additional strengthening ribs provide extra rigidity in high-stress locations, while the side guards fit tightly against the chassis for a seamless look.

Sledge's roomy battery tray accommodates a variety of 4s and 6s battery configurations, providing flexibility for different power set-ups. The design requires no clips or straps, so battery changes take just seconds.

Sledge secures its 2000 Kv brushless motor with a wrap-around aluminium cradle that eliminates all flex points. Built-in bosses are included to make it straightforward to attach the accessory cooling fan (part 3476, sold separately).

The Sledgehammer's thick tread blocks bite into rough terrain for all-surface grip. Traxxas' tyre bonding innovation locks them onto the 3.8in wheels with a vice-like grip. Lightweight belting maintains the tyre's shape for a larger contact patch, more grip, and responsive handling at any speed.

Sledge carries the waterproof 2275 metal gear servo, which produces over 20 pounds (347 oz-in) of torque at 6.0 V. Traxxas states this is sufficient to compete with expensive aftermarket servos, with no servo upgrade required.

Sledge's shock towers are cut from 5 mm thick 6061-T6 aluminium. They connect directly into the centre brace, a structural arrangement that Traxxas describes as delivering bulletproof strength and durability at the shock mounting points.

Heavy-duty 6061-T6 aluminium retainers hold the hardened steel hinge pins firmly in place on Sledge. Traxxas states this design achieves tighter tolerances than conventional sliding pins, and attributes sharper handling to this construction.

Sledge's energy-absorbing one-piece composite links return to shape if flexed and are described as not pulling apart or bending in a crash. They come pre-set with optimal camber and toe settings for track-worthy handling.

Sledge's rugged C-hub design brings together superior durability and impact resistance alongside precise steering alignment. Double shear connections are fitted to keep the toe links securely fastened even during hard hits, combining robust construction with accurate front-end geometry.

Super-duty solid steel centre driveshafts carry power from the Torque-Biasing Centre Drive to the differentials. Rubber boots fitted over the joints seal grease in and keep dirt out of each connection along the drivetrain.

Traxxas equips Sledge with oversized sealed bearings fitted throughout the drivetrain. These larger-than-standard bearings are specified and installed at every rotating point to ensure lasting precision and performance across the full driveline.

Where traditional centre differentials are not suited to 6s power, Sledge's Torque-Biasing Centre Drive is filled with thick silicone fluid to distribute power evenly, providing full 6s thrust with every launch and corner exit.

Solid-steel outer driveshafts transfer Sledge's 6s power from the differentials to the wheels, using heavy-duty dogbones and constant-velocity joints at the front. The all-steel construction means you can be as heavy on the throttle as you want.

Sledge runs true 6s differentials built to handle its ferocious power. The oversized coarse-pitch steel gears are 20% larger and 75% thicker than traditional 1:8 scale components, placing Sledge firmly above the class norm for lasting performance.
