The Traxxas TRX-4 1979 Chevrolet K10 (TRX92154-4) is a 1:10 4WD electric scale and trail crawler. This officially licensed recreation of the 1979 Chevrolet K10 combines authentic Chevrolet styling with the rugged performance of the TRX-4 platform. Its detailed clipless body features bright chrome bumpers, side trim, side markers, a two-tone grille, clear windows, wipers and door handles, while chrome-finish details and aluminium-finish mag wheels complete the distinctive scale appearance.

Built for technical trails and climbing, the K10 uses portal axles to provide 80 mm of centre ground clearance, improve axle geometry and reduce driveshaft strain. Full-time spool-locked front and rear axles deliver equal traction to all four wheels, helping the truck maintain grip over challenging obstacles. The single-speed steel-gear transmission is geared for torque and helps keep the chassis lighter, supporting balanced weight distribution and dependable operation.

Trail-Ready Performance

A front-mounted 21T Titan 550 brushed motor provides smooth torque for steep climbs, with an internal cooling fan to support consistent performance. The waterproof XL-5 HV electronic speed control supports 2s–3s LiPo and NiMH batteries and offers five drive profiles, including dedicated Crawl and Trail modes. Oil-filled GTS aluminium coilover shocks have threaded bodies for ride-height adjustment, while pre-mounted 1.9-inch Canyon Trail S1-compound tyres use trail-tuned foam inserts for traction on rocky surfaces.

The heavy-duty 1.5 mm steel ladder frame runs between the bumpers to provide strong torsional rigidity on uneven ground. Control is supplied by a 2.4 GHz two-channel radio system with a sealed receiver box, giving the K10 straightforward, long-range control for exploring trails and negotiating technical terrain.

To operate the model, you will need four AA batteries for the transmitter, plus a suitable battery pack. The TRX-4 battery compartment accepts a wide range of 4–7-cell NiMH and 2s–3s LiPo packs. A Traxxas EZ-Peak Live charger, model TRX2971, is recommended for charging performance.
