The TRX-4 1979 Chevrolet K5 Blazer places one of America's most celebrated 4x4s into 1:10 scale on Traxxas' renowned TRX-4 chassis, combining the Blazer's iconic style with a comprehensive suite of crawler technology. Portal axles deliver exceptional centre ground clearance, shaft-driven 4WD routes power to all four wheels, and a 2-speed high/low transmission with remote-locking front and rear differentials puts precise control in your hands on the most technical terrain. The clipless body is finished with replica Rally wheels, a chromed injection-moulded grille, bright chrome decal trim, and a two-tone paint scheme that faithfully honours the spirit of the 1979 original. Powering it all is the Titan 21T high-torque brushed motor paired with the XL-5 HV electronic speed controller, while fully waterproof electronics, oil-filled GTS aluminium shocks, and a heavy-duty steel ladder frame complete a package that arrives fully assembled and ready to drive.

The Power of Portals

Portal axles lift the truck at the wheels, providing huge centre pumpkin ground clearance. Achieving the same clearance with straight axles would require tyres over an inch taller than those fitted to the TRX-4 K5 Blazer.

Torque Twist Eliminated

The portal axles use gear reduction at the wheels to virtually eliminate torque twist. The Titan 550 motor's torque is channelled into straight, powerful forward motion rather than wasted energy twisting the rig off the rocks.

Innovative Chassis Design

The TRX-4 Blazer delivers greatly expanded features, versatility, and capability in a chassis where performance and technology combine. Traxxas describes it as a revolutionary design, built to look as good as it performs.

Rigid Steel Frame

The TRX-4 Blazer is built around a heavy-duty formed-steel ladder frame with moulded cross members, creating an extremely rigid backbone. This structure makes its presence felt when navigating technical terrain on the trail.

Scale Details

The TRX-4 K5 Blazer is a masterwork of scale detail. Bright chrome decal trim frames the two-tone paint and clear windows, while the injection-moulded grille, bumpers, wipers, and door handles are all chromed for maximum visual impact. Even the replica Rally wheels are accurate down to the smallest detail.

Remote Locking Differentials

Both the front and rear differentials can be locked and unlocked remotely from the transmitter. New sleeved micro cables control the differential action for a convincing scale appearance, and the design does not limit suspension articulation.

GTS Aluminium Shocks

Oil-filled coil-over GTS shocks deliver silky-smooth damping performance and feature threaed aluminium shock bodies for easy ride height adjustments. The convincing scale realism looks great and they perform even better.		High/Low Range Transmission

Shift into low range for incredible 4WD pulling torque when the going gets tough, or into high range for blasting down the trail. The TRX-4 Blazer's high/low range transmission adapts to any situation or driving style.

3s Power System

The XL-5 HV electronic speed control brings 3s LiPo capability for strong, efficient running, paired with the powerful Titan 21T motor that provides torque for the steepest climbs and all-out speed on flat terrain. With a Traxxas 3s 5000mAh LiPo battery pack, the system provides up to two hours of run time.

TQi Radio System with Cruise Control

The TQi radio system features Traxxas' exclusive cruise control for long-distance treks. Set your speed using the transmitter, then use the multi-function knob to fine-tune it faster or slower to match the pace of your caravan of trail explorers precisely.

Waterproof Electronics

The TRX-4 is fully waterproof, not merely 'splash resistant', and Traxxas points out there is a meaningful difference between the two. Patented Traxxas innovation across the electronics package means the truck can be driven through creeks, snow, and mud without worrying about water in the electronics.
