FTX Mauler 2.0 4x4 Rock Crawler RTR - Yellow

Take on tough terrain in flair with the FTX Mauler. For rough, rocky off-road terrain, this frame chassis rock crawler is the best option. The Mauler, which is based on a full-size frame buggy, has an authentic two-seat interior and a moulded nylon roll cage with body panels. Via the front-hinged mount, access to the chassis internals is straightforward.

Updated now with the System 3 waterproof ESC/RX/LED intelligent light smart controller and the Etronix 4ch radio, there are many alternatives for extra illumination in addition to plug-in bumper lights. When ascending or descending steep inclines, the combination of the high torque gearing, 4WD locked gearbox, and sluggish control is unmatched.

All terrain block tyres with memory foam that are tall 2.2" high profile, super-size, super-soft, and offer exceptional traction and drive even on the roughest, most difficult terrain. With its new Etronix 15kg waterproof metal geared servo, the Mauler is capable of handling even the most difficult terrain. Excellent articulation is provided by the heavy-duty steel multi-link suspension, which can be fine-tuned via a variety of mounting locations for the shock absorbers, links, and chassis plates that offer a wide range of angles and wheelbases. For personalised adjustment, the speed control and battery can even be moved to the front or back.

Explore, hit the trails, and scale the rocks!

Being a Nitro RC'er ive only thought about an electric model, but ive thought about rock crawling, but that would be abit stressful in nitro if not impossable, then i saw the fxt mauler ( even at its rrp price about £210 you get alot for your £ ) but at the £160 i paid it was a bargin ( nitro costs me £800-1000+ ), what can you get with metal chassis RTR etc for that money, although i will say it needs a few mods to rock crawl like a wheel/tyre set up as the car not heavy enough to deform them to form around rocks so it will just spin, im going to try inflatable wheel tyres before i weight the wheels not the chassis as that needs to be light, along with a new body and servo ++.
