FEATURES

  • A fully remote control version of Germany s most-produced, fully-tracked, armoured fighting vehicle of the Second World War the Sturmgesch tz III (StuG 3). Introduced in 1940 and built on a slightly-modified Panzer III chassis, the existing turret was replaced with a fixed superstructure and a more powerful gun. With all the appearance of a formidable weapon it lived up to its image which, as we re sure you ll agree, is beautifully captured in this detailed 1/16-scale R/C replica.

Using twin motors and transferring power via a chain drive, through an independent suspension, to 26mm tracks running on sprung castors, there s very little this model can t handle in terms of scale terrain and where functions are concerned, it s the real deal.

DETAILS

1:16 Scale German StuG III RC Tank

Bring one of Germany's most effective armoured vehicles to life with the 1:16 scale StuG III RC tank. Designed for those who appreciate historical authenticity paired with modern performance, this model is equipped with the advanced TK7.0 multi-function control board (MFCB) for proportional acceleration, steering, turret traverse and cannon elevation or depression.

The radio system allows full customisation of driving characteristics, including recoil strength, turn sensitivity, throttle response and selectable high or low speed modes. Omnidirectional proportional control ensures smooth, realistic movement across any terrain.

With fully independent suspension on all road wheels and durable tracks that can be upgraded to metal, the StuG III is built to tackle demanding conditions. Its heavy-duty gearbox ensures long-lasting, dependable power transfer, even over rough ground.

For immersive battlefield action, the model features programmable track recoil in three levels, delivering a realistic jolt with each cannon blast. The smoke system adds visual drama with a glycerin-based exhaust effect, and four unique sound sets reproduce the tank's start-up, idle, acceleration, traverse, elevation, machine gun fire, cannon blast and shutdown. Volume is adjustable across five levels to suit your setting.

Functionality includes a 6mm BB firing system that can reach distances of up to 10 metres. Though limited in accuracy and speed, users must always wear proper eye protection when using this feature. The tank also supports Heng Long's infrared battle system, allowing up to 20 tanks to engage in simulated combat. Each hit is registered by LED and sound feedback, with tanks disabled after five hits and restarting automatically after ten seconds.

Additional features include 320 degrees of turret traverse, 30 degrees of cannon elevation, operational headlights and brake lights, and LED indicators for battle mode. This RTR (Ready to Run) model comes fully assembled and factory painted, complete with cosmetic accessories for added scale realism.

Whether displayed on a shelf or commanding the battlefield, the StuG III is a compact yet formidable model ideal for historical modellers and RC warriors alike.

A Brief History of the StuG III

The Sturmgeschtz III, or StuG III, was originally designed as an infantry support vehicle but evolved into one of Nazi Germany's most successful tank destroyers. Based on the Panzer III chassis and fitted with a low-profile casemate instead of a rotating turret, the StuG III proved to be cost-effective and deadly in defence. Armed with a high-velocity 75mm gun, it excelled in ambush and anti-tank roles, particularly on the Eastern Front. Over 10,000 units were produced, making it the most produced German armoured fighting vehicle of the war. This RC model captures its compact, rugged design and battlefield reputation with modern realism and control.
