Short Course Supremacy
The Maxx Slash builds on the legacy of the iconic Slash short course truck, scaling it up to 1:8 and pairing the proven short course character with 6s LiPo power. A full-time shaft-driven 4WD drivetrain features Steel-Core hybrid driveshafts and an all-metal construction, carrying the VXL-6s speed control's power to Belted Maxx SC tyres for a top speed of 70+ mph with optional gearing and dual 3s LiPo batteries. The hex-reinforced modular composite chassis lowers the centre of gravity and extends the wheelbase, while interlocking skid plates enclose the driveshaft in a rigid backbone for outstanding protection. Ready-To-Race with the TQi 2.4 GHz radio system, Velineon 2000 Kv brushless motor, and Traxxas Stability Management (TSM), Maxx Slash is also fully waterproof for use in mud, snow, and water.
6s PowerMaxx Slash punches harder and faster with brutal 6s power and a top speed of 70+ mph. A low centre of gravity works alongside new belted tyres to keep all that performance in control, making the most of the power on hand.Maxx-Sized SlashSize matters, but the right size matters most. Maxx Slash is built to the perfect dimensions for maximum performance, powering aggressively over the roughest terrain imaginable whilst still feeling light, responsive, and agile.Maxx StrengthThe Maxx platform has proven synonymous with durability, and Maxx Slash builds further on that reputation. Its engineering continues to innovate, adding even more strength for critical 6s power handling and to support faster, harder-hitting action.Belted TyresMaxx SC belted tyres limit high-speed tyre expansion to create a larger, flatter contact patch. This delivers game-changing precision and control, with tyre uniformity proving critical for stability, particularly at the upper end of the 70+ mph speed range.Aggressive Short Course BodyMaxx Slash retains the unmistakable short course body style of its Slash lineage, whilst injecting a more aggressive character. Wide fenders and sculpted lines give a bolder look, and rugged body reinforcements keep it looking fresh after a rough day at the track.Short Course WheelsMaxx Slash rolls on dual-diameter short course wheels with a large glue surface for secure bead mounting. The wheels are fully sealed to keep out dirt and water that could affect tyre balance or degrade the foam inserts. An internal 17mm splined hub handles power transfer, while a flanged outer locknut adds a realistic finish.Adjustable Wheelie BarWith 6s power on tap, the adjustable wheelie bar on Maxx Slash is there to maximise traction and control under full throttle acceleration. Set it low to prevent lift on hard surfaces, or raise it higher to act as a backstop during high-speed off-road action.Heavy Duty BumpersHeavy-duty front and rear Slash-style bumpers help protect critical components from impacts. Combined with a short course body that covers the tyres, they allow for fender-to-fender contact during competitive and authentic racing action.Belted Maxx SC TyresLarge-diameter Maxx SC belted tyres feature wide tread blocks for sure-footed traction on a variety of surfaces. The belted design pairs with a long-wearing rubber compound for control across different terrain. They work equally well on pavement, delivering realistic handling as you powerslide Maxx Slash around corners.Shock Tower DesignMaxx Slash's integrated shock towers form part of the chassis itself, creating a rigid, triangulated structure that mounts and protects the shock caps. Heavy-duty body mounts attach directly to the reinforced shock towers, providing maximum strength and impact resistance.Fixed Mesh Motor CradleThe motor and cradle join together to form a fixed gear mesh, held in place by a heavily reinforced mounting plate in the chassis. This keeps the motor and spur gear in perfect alignment, eliminating flex and extending gear life.Low-CG ChassisThe chassis lowers the centre of gravity and extends the wheelbase for responsive handling. A fighter jet aesthetic wraps around an engineered truss design that builds in strength and rigidity where it is needed most. Proven-tough Maxx bulkheads are tightly integrated front and rear.Battery CompartmentMaxx Slash utilises Sledge's battery compartment and retention design for versatility and superior protection. The precise snap-lock hold-down makes it easy to install and secure Traxxas iD batteries, accommodating a single large-capacity 4s 6700, two 2s 7600, or two 3s 5000 battery packs for 6s running.Waterproof ElectronicsA sealed box protects the TQi receiver from water for all-weather driving. An easy-access port on top allows instant access to the receiver while retaining the box's waterproof integrity. Mud, snow, or water present no barrier to Maxx Slash.Maxx Steering ServoThe steering servo mounts solidly to the Maxx Slash chassis for enhanced support and impact resistance. Carrying over its proven durability from Maxx monster trucks, the digital, ball bearing design delivers 285 oz-in of torque for responsive and precise steering.Fixed Camber and Toe LinksFixed, non-adjustable camber and toe links are built for durability, ensuring the action is never sidelined by a broken turnbuckle. Double-shear connections at every attachment point eliminate pop-offs and tear-outs, keeping the suspension solid and reliable through hard use.Long-Travel SuspensionMaxx Slash's long-travel suspension handles washboard and absorbs bumps with ease. Adjustable suspension droop lets you customise the setup for any surface: run full travel for maximum capability on rough off-road terrain, or tighten suspension travel for responsive handling and grip on the track.Heavy Duty Suspension ArmsOversized double wishbone suspension arms maintain proper suspension geometry throughout the full range of travel. Double-shear connections provide strength and impact resistance throughout, while the tough composite construction resists impact damage even in cold weather.GT-Maxx Aluminium ShocksBrightly anodised GT-Maxx aluminium shocks feature an extra-large bore and greater oil capacity for consistent, ultra-plush damping. Extra-large diameter shock shafts move through double X-ring seals for smooth, stiction-free performance.Full Contact Sealed BearingsFull contact sealed bearings are used throughout the Maxx Slash driveline to keep out grime and grit. The sealed design reduces downtime spent cleaning and maintaining bearings, meaning more run time and more fun.Torque-Biasing Centre DriveThe Torque-Biasing Centre Drive is tuned for maximum punch off the line, using heavyweight oil to distribute power evenly between front and rear. A heavy-duty aluminium housing helps dissipate heat, supporting consistent performance as Maxx Slash delivers throttle punch and acceleration.Aluminium Splined DriveshaftA thick-wall, heavy-duty splined aluminium centre driveshaft carries power directly to the front and rear differentials. Built for the drivetrain demands of Maxx Slash, it delivers precise engagement, incredible strength, and smooth running.Steel-Core Hybrid DriveshaftsMaxx Slash's hybrid driveshafts feature steel cores wrapped in durable nylon composite materials, placing strength where it is most critical. Large-diameter splined half shafts provide smooth-running telescopic action and nearly endless suspension travel. The construction is designed to handle the most brutal 6s demands.Steel Gear DifferentialsMaxx Slash's differentials are sealed and filled with heavyweight oil, providing a limited-slip effect for maximum traction on loose surfaces. The oversize 1.25 module steel gears are fully rated to withstand 6s power and speed.
