This 1997 race-ready Audi A4 Quattro Touring is reimagined as a Tamiya radio-controlled vehicle. Manufacturer-backed teams will eventually take the lead in touring car series all over the world in the late 1990s. Audi was one of the best; it didn't cut any corners in its quest for the top spot on the podium. Using the foundational A4 quattro as a basis, Audi made major improvements to the vehicle and won races with it. Additionally, in an effort to honour their creation, Audi sought out the world's top drivers.

Using the TT-01 E chassis, Tamiya recreates this racer, making it a great option for novice kit builders. This Audi's initial release was installed on a Tamiya TA-03 model.

The TT-01 E Chassis
For optimal balance and a lower centre of gravity, the motor and battery of the upgraded shaft-driven 4WD TT-01 Type-E are located near to the ground in the bathtub frame. A three-piece tie rod that facilitates smoother steering action and an upper deck and gear covers made of nylon reinforced with fibreglass are mounted on the bathtub frame to increase rigidity. Excellent operating ability is produced by the low centre of gravity, well-balanced design, 4-wheel double wishbone suspension system, and front and rear differential gears.
