This is an R/C model of Scania's 620hp V8-powered 3-axle R620 6X4 Highline, which was the flagship model of their R-Series range when it won the 2005 International Truck of the Year award. Scania is a well-known manufacturer of large trucks and buses all over the world. The truck's body features a distinctive design that has been faithfully recreated down to the tiniest of details.

The grille mesh and metal transfer emblems that are included in the set contribute to the truck's overall appearance of realism, as does the fact that the cabin tilts forward like the real truck does. The model comes standard with a ladder frame chassis that is constructed out of aluminium channels, a gearbox that has three gears, suspension that uses metal leaf springs and friction dampers, and rear axles that are fitted with differentials.

The finishing touches are added by elements located on the exterior, such as the side panels, fuel tanks, and rear fenders. The R620 is compatible with a wide variety of Tractor Truck Option Parts and comes with a coupler that allows it to link up with any of Tamiya's currently available 1/14 scale trailers. In addition, the coupler is included in the kit.
