Monster Muscle Unleashed at 60+ mph

The Traxxas Maxx is a 1:10 scale monster truck, expertly packaging X-Maxx's innovative design elements and jaw-dropping strength into a lighter, more compact and more ferocious platform. The Velineon 540XL brushless motor paired with the VXL-4s electronic speed control delivers blistering 4s punch for 55+ mph performance out of the box, rising to 60+ mph with optional gearing, using a single 4s LiPo battery sold separately. WideMaxx suspension comes factory installed, stretching the wheels out for a wider, more stable stance and higher cornering speeds, while the extended composite chassis accommodates Traxxas's most powerful 6700 mAh 4-cell LiPo battery. Traxxas Stability Management works behind the scenes to help harness Maxx's 4s power for maximum acceleration and exceptional control, while patented waterproofing covers the electronics for use in water, mud, and snow. Finished in bold ProGraphix clipless bodies in Traxxas's brightest and boldest colour options, the Maxx arrives fully assembled and Ready-To-Race.

The Maxx Experience

Maxx doubles down on strength and durability with a longer and wider stance for greater stability, all matching its blistering 60+ mph performance. The wider, more planted character invites you to bury the throttle and fly through corners, pushing Maxx to its full-throttle potential.

60+ MPH Maxx Muscle

The Velineon brushless power system delivers massive 4s punch for a 60+ mph top speed and effortless wheelies on demand. The high-output 540XL motor features a 5 mm shaft, aluminium heat sink, and a powerful fan, with the entire system fully protected by Traxxas waterproofing.

Traxxas Tough

Maxx is overbuilt with components modelled after the legendary X-Series trucks, built to withstand extreme punishment and intense driving action. The chassis absorbs and dissipates impact energy across its entire structure for superior strength. Huge threaded-aluminium GT-Maxx shocks with oversized shafts are built to handle massive jumps.

WideMaxx Suspension

WideMaxx suspension technology pushes Maxx's wheels out for a wider, more stable stance and higher cornering speeds. The long wheelbase chassis further enhances Maxx's straight-line stability, delivering race-truck stability to match its brutally tough construction.

Sledgehammer Tyres

Maxx rides on huge 5.6in Sledgehammer tyres featuring an aggressive open-block tread pattern. This open design is built to clear away mud and debris, and delivers unrivalled traction as a result.

More Colours

Maxx makes a bold statement with several new ProGraphix clipless bodies, presented in the brightest and boldest colour options yet. The selection spans multiple vivid colour choices, broadening the Maxx range with a fresh palette of striking finishes.

Sledgehammer Tyres

Traxxas' legendary Sledgehammer tyres give the Maxx multiple layers of biting edges for sure-footed traction on just about any surface. The heavy-duty rubber compound is specially formulated to resist tearing, bonding exceptionally well with Ultra Premium tyre glue. The 2.8in wheels feature a large glue surface for bead mounting, a 17 mm hex mounting pattern, and a flanged locknut.

Full Length Motor Cradle

A full-length motor cradle fully supports the 540XL motor and eliminates gear-crunching flex. The innovative fixed gear mesh system uses fixed pins to precisely set the gear mesh, removing the need for gear mesh adjustment so drivers can focus on driving.

Shock Tower Design

Maxx's integrated shock towers form part of the chassis, creating a rigid, triangulated structure for secure mounting of the shocks and body. They also give the truck an authentic off-road look, filling in the wheel openings. The upper shock mounts are shrouded for protection against impacts and grinding on less-than-perfect landings.

Waterproof From the Start

Waterproofing has never been an afterthought at Traxxas. Patented innovation seals out the water, extending the playground to include water, snow, and mud. If the truck gets dirty, simply hose it off. The receiver box also allows fast radio access without requiring removal.

Maxx Steering Authority

The Maxx uses the same size steering servo as the giant X-Maxx. With 285 oz-in of torque, the servo has strength and power in reserve, delivering fast response and impressive steering authority.

Battery Compartment

The Maxx battery tray accommodates Traxxas' largest Power Cell 6700 mAh 4-cell LiPo battery, the same unit used in the X-Maxx. The snap-lock retainer keeps a secure grip on the battery but releases in seconds.

GT-Maxx Aluminium Shocks

The four extra-large bore, oil-filled GT-Maxx shocks feature machined aluminium bodies threaded for ride-height adjustment. Extra-large diameter shafts move through double X-ring seals for responsive damping, while lower spring retainers are captured by screws to stay secure even on the harshest landings.

Heavy Duty Suspension Arms

Oversized double wishbone suspension arms maintain proper suspension geometry throughout the entire range of travel. Double-shear connections and extra-thick steel upper and lower tie bars provide strength and impact resistance, while tough composites resist impact damage, even in cold weather.

Modular Chassis Design

The interlocking chassis ties shock towers, front and rear modules, and the main frame into a single rigid platform engineered to absorb and dissipate impact energy across the entire structure. Critical driveline, radio, and battery components are protected, and strategically placed tool-access points make any needed maintenance or repairs straightforward to perform.

Full Contact Sealed Bearings

Maxx uses full contact sealed bearings throughout the driveline to keep out grime and grit. Less time spent on cleaning and maintaining the bearings means more run time for the truck.

Shock-Absorbing Cush Drive

The Cush Drive system uses a special elastomer damper to absorb driveline shocks at the spur gear for superior reliability. With nothing to slip or adjust, it delivers instant acceleration and throttle control.

Torque-Biasing Centre Drive

The Torque-Biasing Centre Drive absorbs shocks to improve driveline durability and distributes power to all four wheels, avoiding the drawbacks of a typical centre differential. Where a conventional centre diff can allow tyres in the air to balloon uncontrollably, the Torque-Biasing Centre Drive allows wheelies off the line with seamless power distributed to all four wheels.

Aluminium Splined Driveshaft

A thick-wall, heavy-duty splined aluminium centre driveshaft carries power to the front and rear differentials. The heavy-duty construction and splined design yield precise engagement, incredible strength, and smooth running throughout the driveline.

Extreme-Duty Telescoping Driveshafts

Traxxas telescoping splined driveshafts draw on years of design evolution for durable, smooth-running performance. Built to extreme-duty standards, these driveshafts maximise suspension travel and steering angles, radically extending the Maxx performance envelope.

Steel Gear Differentials

Maxx's four sealed differentials are filled with heavyweight oil, producing a limited-slip effect for traction on loose surfaces. Each reinforced differential is built around 7 mm output shafts and large-pitch, large-diameter steel ring and pinion gears.
