The Velineon VXL-3s brushless power system sits at the heart of Traxxas's fastest and most powerful 1:10 scale vehicles. This 11.1-volt powerplant comes installed in the compact Mini Rally chassis, delivering astonishing acceleration, 55+ mph speed, and wheel-standing power at any rpm.

Fitting 1:10 scale Velineon power into a compact platform requires bold engineering. Mini Rally VXL is equipped with the proven driveline components of Traxxas's toughest 1:10 scale 4x4 vehicles, including front, centre, and rear steel-gear differentials, 32-pitch gearing, and HD driveshafts, which far exceed requirements for strength and long life.

Mini Rally VXL uses revolutionary chassis design elements pioneered in Mini Maxx, sized to fit into a backpack. It transforms 1:10 scale performance and durability into a supremely compact chassis, with a rigid, unified structure built Maxx tough.

An iconic car like the Ford RS200 calls for a detailed replica body with clean, flowing lines. Traxxas clipless technology holds the RS200 body tightly to the chassis with a reassuring snap to let you know it is secure. Moulded side mirrors and air scoops attach to the internal frame for extra strength and rigidity.

Mini Rally VXL wears high-traction rally tyres offering outstanding grip on pavement and dirt. Internal reinforcing ribs replace conventional tyre foams for more consistent and longer lasting tread support. Mounted to 8-spoke rally-inspired wheels, the tyres feature aggressive tread blocks for exceptional bite on loose surfaces.

The tyres on Mini Rally VXL are unique, with densely packed biting edges and sipes for maximum traction on loose surfaces. Internal reinforcing ribs eliminate conventional foam inserts that can absorb water and upset the balance. A softer compound rear tyre helps balance the handling for greater control.

Mini Rally VXL's interlocking skid plates fit tightly together to form a smooth, snag-free undertray. When wear builds up, they are quick and easy to replace, so there is no need to hold back.

A reinforced front splitter acts as a hidden bumper, aligning the body and adding extra rigidity to the front of the car. A strong rear bumper sits beneath the body for extra impact resistance. Tough side skirts attach directly to the inner cage, holding the body firmly in place.

Mini Rally VXL uses the same full-size oil-filled Ultra Shocks found on Traxxas 1:10 scale vehicles for truly bottomless suspension travel. Their large oil capacity and rugged design soak up uneven pavement and off-road surfaces. Easy to tune with a wide range of available oils, springs, and pistons.

The fixed gear mesh system uses preset positions to remove the guesswork from setting gear mesh. Simply insert the motor screw through the desired gearing position for a precise fit every time. The fixed positioning keeps the mesh tight, maintaining accuracy even after the hardest impacts.

The sensorless Velineon 3500 Kv motor delivers extreme performance with nearly zero maintenance. Ultra high-temperature neodymium magnets, efficient high-speed bearings, and a precision, 4-pole balanced rotor form the core of the design, contributing to smooth running and long life.

Mini Rally VXL's modular chassis features front and rear bulkheads that remove easily with just a few screws. Using a power screwdriver, both bulkheads can be detached in less than a minute, opening up full access to internal components for service and adjustment.

A deep battery compartment sits within the reinforced chassis, shielding the battery from impacts. The swivel clip hold-down firmly secures the battery in place, and its pivot action makes battery swaps fast and straightforward.

The waterproof Velineon VXL-3s speed control is packed with technology. A large heat sink with dedicated fan, an integrated on/off switch, and three programmable drive profiles top the feature list. Two-stage low voltage detection provides full LiPo compatibility, including 11.1-volt 3s packs.

Should signal loss occur due to an accidental transmitter switch-off or depleted batteries, the TQi receiver automatically returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last commanded steering position. The fail-safe programming is conveniently built in and does not require separate activation.

The full-size 2075X metal-gear steering servo uses dual bellcranks for zero bump steer geometry and high-speed steering precision. Oversize components and double-shear connections contribute to a tough overall build, complemented by a cam-operated servo saver that provides added protection against impacts.

Mini Rally VXL features narrow suspension arms that give a true-to-scale footprint and realistic rally car handling. The double-wishbone design maintains proper suspension geometry throughout the full range of travel, while double-shear connections and beefy construction are aimed at maximising strength and durability.

Hex-drive hardware is used throughout the Mini Rally VXL, providing a more positive and secure connection than other fasteners. A black-oxide coating on each piece delivers rust resistance alongside a high-tech look and feel.

Modelled after the full-size Maxx, the Mini Rally VXL's suspension components punch well above the vehicle's size class. Caster blocks, steering blocks, and axle carriers feature robust construction, double-shear connections, and extra reinforcing where it's needed, all engineered for maximum strength and durability.

Mini Rally VXL uses large sealed bearings throughout the driveline to help keep out grime and grit. The sealed construction reduces the cleaning and maintenance associated with open bearings, so there is less downtime between driving sessions.

Mini Rally VXL is engineered for Velineon 3s power from the outset with 32-pitch pinion and spur gears. Normally found in much larger 4x4 vehicles, these large-format gears are sized to cope with the full output of the car's brushless power system.

Mini Rally VXL's sealed centre differential absorbs driveline shocks, aiding driveline durability and allowing performance tuning. It comes pre-loaded with thick silicone oil, designed to help prevent unloading of the front tyres for rock-steady power delivery.

Mini Rally VXL's driveshafts are 50% larger than standard 1:16 scale driveshafts, built for hard launches with the 3s Velineon brushless power system. The oversized telescoping half shafts are designed to allow the WideMaxx suspension arms to articulate fully without binding.

The Mini Rally VXL's planetary differentials are nearly twice the size of standard 1:16 scale differentials. Sealed throughout, they allow you to tune the amount of locking action simply by varying the viscosity of the fluid inside each differential.
