It carries the same Velineon 540XL brushless motor as the Maxx extreme monster truck, the largest motor Traxxas has ever offered in a truck this size. The VXL-3s speed control pairs large 6.5 mm connectors with an integrated cooling fan.

The Stampede 4X4 VXL comes with the Extreme Heavy-Duty Upgrade Kit factory-installed, replacing key drivetrain and suspension components with beefed-up parts built for strength and durability. Spanning everything from the HD suspension arms to the steel wheel hubs, it represents the strongest driveline ever offered in a Stampede.

The Stampede 4X4 VXL runs on huge 5.3in Sledgehammer tyres that lift the truck for superior ground clearance and a menacing stance. The open-block tread design clears mud and debris for unrivalled traction on loose surfaces. The tyres come pre-glued with performance foam inserts and are TSM-rated for speeds of 60 mph and beyond.

Tough reinforced bumpers protect the chassis against impacts. The specially designed front bumper provides a high approach angle that allows Stampede to climb up and over obstacles with ease. The rear bumper mounts a perfectly positioned wheelie bar to help prevent the Stampede 4X4 VXL from back-flipping under its explosive power.

The Stampede 4X4 VXL features an aggressive monster truck ProGraphix body that comes trimmed and pre-painted with the decals already applied. Tough internal reinforcements maintain the body's integrity, while roof skids provide rollover protection to keep the body looking fresh.

The large 5.3in Sledgehammer tyres offer excellent ground clearance and true mud-slinging fun. The open-block tread design claws into gravel, dirt, and grass for sure-footed 4X4 traction on nearly any surface. A heavy-duty rubber compound is specially formulated to resist tearing and bonds exceptionally well to the aggressive 2.8in black chrome wheels.

The Stampede 4X4 VXL arrives with the Extreme Heavy Duty Upgrade Kit already installed for ultimate strength and durability. The kit reinforces the axle carriers, C-hubs, and steering blocks, all beefed-up with more material and stronger construction.

Oil-filled Ultra Shocks use dual X-ring technology for a reliable seal and silky-smooth action. The large oil capacity and rugged construction are built to handle big jumps and off-road use. They are easy to tune using a wide range of available oils, springs, and pistons.

The TQi 2.4 GHz receiver stores up to thirty models in memory, letting one transmitter serve your entire RC fleet. Integrated telemetry ports can send real-time data to the transmitter via the Traxxas Link app and compatible sensors (sold separately). If signal is lost, the receiver returns the throttle to neutral and holds the last steering position.

The waterproof receiver box is housed in the nose of the chassis, saving weight and providing a clean, high-tech appearance. Antenna and servo wires route tidily through a patented watertight seal, keeping the receiver protected from water whatever the conditions.

The waterproof Velineon VXL-3s speed control is packed with technology to deliver maximum power. A large heat sink, integrated on/off switch, and three programmable drive profiles headline the feature set. Two-stage low-voltage detection provides full LiPo compatibility, including 11.1-volt 3s packs.

A rugged battery hold-down secures the battery safely in the chassis, dispensing with flimsy straps or clips. The beefed-up latch provides solid locking action to keep the battery firmly in place no matter how intense the driving gets.

Rugged side nerf bars protect the chassis from rocks and other impacts. Special channels in the nerf bars also support the sides of the body, creating a tighter, more secure fit between the body and the chassis.

Sealed front and rear differentials use steel-gear internals for maximum durability. Silicone gaskets and X-ring seals keep everything contained, and you can tune the amount of locking action by varying the viscosity of the fluid inside each differential.

A one-piece extruded aluminium driveshaft is both strong and lightweight. Internal splines fit directly onto the input shafts of the front and rear drive assemblies, keeping the shaft running straight and true for smooth driveline operation.

Designed from the outset to handle big brushless power, the Stampede 4X4 VXL's driveline uses a rugged steel spur gear with large 0.8 module, 32-pitch teeth, built for reliability no matter how much power is applied.
