Like its bigger brother, the Venture18 combines a tough formed steel C-channel chassis with a realistic suspension and drivetrain. Despite its compact size, this truck is packed with impressive features, including a new all-metal 2-speed transmission, 4-link front and rear suspension, and universal telescopic counter-rotating driveshafts. With authentically scaled oil-filled shock absorbers and full-time locked differentials, the Venture18 offers dependable handling in all off-road conditions.
At its heart lies the new FLX18-3S20-T Brushless ESC, a true trail-ready controller designed for versatility and control. This advanced ESC allows you to switch instantly between Crawling Mode, with full drag brake for technical terrain, and Trail Mode for smooth throttle response and flowing exploration. The result is a truck that’s just as capable of slow, precise crawling as it is of high-speed trail running.
The Venture18 also marks the return of officially licensed Toyota products to the HPI Racing lineup. The meticulously crafted 1985 Toyota Hilux SR5 body features a clipless polycarbonate body, and it’s available in four striking color options.
The body is prepainted and also features clear windows, plus scale accents like Toyota emblems, front grill, door handles, wipers, functional mirrors, plus tube-style bumpers and rollbars for an impressive level of realism. The fitted LED light kit enhances the authenticity even further, giving the Venture18 that extra layer of detail that truly stands out!

FLX18-3S20-T FLUX ESC
The Venture18 is equipped with a highly versatile FLX18-3S20-T waterproof electronic speed controller, which is packed with a full range of adjustments and capabilities. The FLX18-3S20-T is compatible with 2-3S LiPo and packs a lot of punch into something only 13g in weight. This "T"rail-ready Brushless ESC can switch between Crawling mode with drag break and Trail mode using Channel 4 on the Transmitter.
The FLX18-3S20-T is compatible with the Hobbywing LED program card (available separately) which lets you customize multiple parameters, including voltage cutoff, motor rotation, and drag brake.

The FLX18-1621-3500KV 12-Pole Hi-Torque Brushless Outrunner Motor is the heart of your Venture18’s powerhouse performance. Engineered for precision and power, this high-performance motor delivers a smooth feel across both low and high RPM ranges, ensuring seamless power delivery with every twist of the throttle. Thanks to its advanced 12-pole design, whether you're crawling over rugged terrain or powering through challenging trails, this motor gives you the ultimate edge.
TF-706 2.4GHz RADIO SYSTEM
The Venture18 comes equipped with the cutting-edge TF-706 radio system, the latest addition to the HPI-Racing steering wheel and pistol grip lineup. This fully-featured, ultra-lightweight 2.4GHz 6-channel radio is designed for precision and control, offering complete adjustability to suit your driving style. You can also select the different light options on the Venture18, using the channel 3 button on the grip!
For added versatility, the TF-706 includes a thumb stick option, enabling one-handed driving - perfect for when you need to keep a hand free for filming, or photos or even a drink!
When paired with the SRL-706 3-in-1 RX/ESC and Light Controller on the brushed models, the TF-706 offers remote control of ESC settings, giving you even more flexibility and precision in tuning your performance on the go.
METAL-GEARED SD-02MGWR STEERING SERVO
The water-resistant HPI SD-02MGWR steering servo is the ideal companion for the Venture18 FLUX electronics package. This is a high torque servo with up to 1.5kg-cm holding power at 6V, plus it's water-resistant so it can easily handle splashes and water drops when driving through puddles, snow and mud. Mounted directly to the axle, it provides extra weight over the front axle to enhance the front weight bias of the Venture18.
