XL-5 Waterproof Electronic Speed Control:
The Traxxas-engineered XL-5 Electronic Speed Control smoothly supplies power to the motor while managing the weather. Impressive features that are typically reserved for more costly, high-end replacement units are packed into this high-performance ESC. The XL-5 has three throttle profiles, low voltage detection, Thermal Shutdown Protection, compatibility for 2 and 7 cell LiPo and NiMH batteries, and an integrated BEC. Its design is completely waterproof. The XL-5 is a fully proportional speed control that is incredibly smooth and efficient due to its ultra-low resistance and high frequency operation. By reducing the XL-5's overall power output by 50%, the unique and patented Training ModeTM helps novice or younger drivers hone their control abilities before releasing the full power.
