Based around an ABS plastic bathtub, with space frames front and rear and FRP plates, the Tamiya kit’s chassis is a composite design that offers a rigid base to back up the fluid suspension. This delivers an incredible responsive driving experience - as close as you’ll get to the real thing in a scale version! The front coil-sprung kingpin suspension setup combined with the rear rigid suspension, teamed up with sponge tyres front and rear, ensure superb traction on smooth asphalt and carpeted surfaces.

In addition to its legacy at Le Mans, The Porsche 956 holds the fastest-ever lap time recorded at the Nürburgring Nordschleife. In 1983, racing driver Stefan Bellof completed the 20.8 km circuit in an astonishing time of 6:11.13 minutes during qualifying for the 1000 km of Nürburgring. This record remains unbeaten, cementing the 956’s legacy as one of the fastest cars ever built.
