Tamiya Wild Willy 2 (WR-02)
The popular original Wild Willy from the mid-1980s is replicated in the Wild Willy 2. The wider tyres and completely redesigned chassis of the new Wild Willy enable it to navigate uneven ground. The animated wheelie capability, made possible by a completely new wheelie bar, is, of course, the Wild Willys trade mark.
WR-02 Chassis: The WR-02 chassis is made of a sturdy monocoque with side frames for added strength. Along the chassis' midline are the R/C unit, motor, and battery pack. An entirely enclosed gearbox with a differential sends the motor's power to the back wheels. The thrilling, wheels-in-the-air driving action is made possible by a wheelie bar. For smooth steering response, a two-piece steering tie-rod and four-wheel double wishbone suspension are used. For convenience of assembly, the motor, gearbox, and tyres are pre-assembled.
