The Final Clearance of Ground
Traxxas' revolutionary portal axle set is pre-installed on the TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler.
The truck is raised at the wheels by portal axles, giving it a massive centre bulbous ground clearance. Your tyres would need to be more than an inch taller than the tyres on the TRX-4 in order to attain the same clearance with straight axles (and avoid getting stuck). The TRX-4 chassis effortlessly navigates around obstacles, choosing the less-traveled route and leaving the others in its wake.

Torque Twist Discontinued
The portal axles significantly lessen unwanted torque twist by using gear reduction at the wheels. Over twice as much axle gear reduction as non-portal systems. Rather than squandering energy turning your rig straight off the rocks, the Titan 550 motor torque is converted into forward momentum that is strong and straight.

Better Geometry
Critical driveshaft and suspension link angles are significantly reduced by raising the axle link mounts and centre driveshaft through the use of portal axle geometry. Less strain is placed on the driveshafts as a result, and the taller suspension links offer more clearance over the pebbles with less dragging and scratching. Moreover, the tie rod and steering drag link are elevated and out of the way.

Sturdy Steel Structure
The exceptionally stiff backbone created by a heavy-duty formed-steel ladder frame with moulded cross members enables the suspension to perform as intended. You'll notice a difference on trails where precise wheel placement in difficult terrain is made possible by the removal of chassis flex.

Differentials for Remote Locking
With Traxxas, you can easily adjust the front and rear differentials to your driving requirements right from your transmitter. For easy driving on the trail with precise, seamless turns and improved handling at high speeds, leave the differentials unlocked. For better traction on rough terrain, lock the front or only the front differential when the trail turns tricky. The Traxxas Summit has demonstrated the durability and capability of our patented design. In order to achieve scale look, new sleeved micro cables regulate the differential motion without restricting the enormous suspension articulation.

45-degree Turning Angle
Conventional crawlers provide up traction in exchange for turning radius. To maximise its improved 45-degree steering angle, the TRX-4's remote locking differentials disengage. For maximum traction, re-engage the differentials after you've cleared the obstruction.

Transmission at High and Low Range
Use your transmitter to shift into low range for amazing 4-wheel drive pulling torque when things become rough. Put it in high gear and tear down the trail. The soft suspension system provides exceptional scale appearance while easily absorbing uneven terrain. The TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler's unparalleled adaptability allows it to fit into almost any driving style or scenario.

Water-resistant
With our cutting-edge ideas, Traxxas was the first to introduce totally waterproof RC cars to the market years ago. Scale Information
With the iconic Land Rover Defender body and thrilling scale elements for a genuine 4-wheeling experience, the TRX-4 Trail and Scale is on display. We've added extra fuel canisters, an off-road jack and a working spare wheel and tyre. Put your hiking gear in the roof basket that comes with it. For crossing creeks with the waterproof TRX-4, there's also a snorkel. The tough bumpers have recovery D-rings and offer protection and clearance. The front bumper is made to work with a wide range of well-liked off-road equipment.

Inside Fenders
The body was just the beginning of the scale details. In order to prevent rocks, dirt, and twigs out of the chassis, we dug underneath and installed intricate inner fenders that blend in with the scale appearance of the floor pans and shock towers. Additionally, the inside fenders include pockets where you can mount our optional LED rock light kit (separately offered), which brightens the night trail and directs light where it's needed. Changing a 'flat tyre' on the trail is a breeze thanks to the rock lights! ;-) Built-in rock sliders lessen the risk of harm coming to the body.

Utilise Cruise Control
For extended travel, the Traxxas TQi radio system has cruise control. To perfectly match the pace of your group of trail explorers, use the multi-function knob to fine-tune your speed after setting it with the transmitter. With cruise control, you may easily and comfortably enjoy hours of driving pleasure and discovery with the TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler as your partner.

Three-S Power System
3S LiPo capability is now possible with the new XL-5 HV electronic speed control, enabling stronger, more effective running. There are now more speed control profiles available for accurate and seamless control. For the majority of your trips, a new Trail profile makes driving easier, while a new Crawl profile adds hill hold and instantaneous reverse for very challenging tracks. Either will assist you in overcoming problems from the outset with ease. An iD LiPo battery pack with 5000mAh capacity, the Traxxas 3S, can run for up to two hours!

Canyon Trail 1.9 Tyres
Superior bite and convincing scale realism are provided by the super-soft and grippy 1.9 Canyon Trail tyres and adjusted foam inserts. Popular 1.9 wheel and tyre combinations are compatible with the TRX-4 chassis thanks to the 12mm steel hex drive.

Traxxas Hard
Put the tools back in the bag. Built to withstand the rigours of remote places and enjoyable driving all day, the Traxxas TRX-4 chassis. Two steel frame rails, each 1.5 mm thick, form the base. The suspension is kept securely mounted by heavy-duty, extra-wide rod ends and large diameter steel links. The brushless-ready steel portal axle and transfer case gears are quiet and smooth, and the hardened steel CV-style half-shaft joints are incredibly dependable. Over the course of three decades, Traxxas has improved its composite materials to achieve the highest levels of strength and durability.

GTS Aluminium Shocks
Specially designed oil-filled coil-over GTS shocks were made for the TRX-4 chassis only. These units are made of silver-anodized aluminium and have threaded shock bodies for simple ride height changes. They provide a silky smooth damping experience. With an O-ring cap seal and dual X-ring shaft seals, they look fantastic and work even better due to the convincing scale realism.

Outstanding Ability
The TRX-4 Scale and Trail Crawler can take on large obstacles head-on thanks to its steep approach angles in both the front and back. In comparison to other designs, the front motor configuration leans weight forward for improved climbing performance.
