However, First, A Brief Historical Overview

With the A1 and A2 Quattros' standard wheelbase, Audi begins its first World Rally Championship attack in 1981. By 1982, it had won the WRC manufacturers' championship outright. In 1983, the late, great Finnish driver Hannu Mikkola won the drivers' trophy while driving an A2. Then, in 1984, the brand won both the manufacturers' and drivers' championships, with legendary Swedish driver Stig Blomqvist winning the world championship while driving an early model of the short wheelbase Sport Quattro. In 1984, Audi was adamant about competing in international rallying's Group B "Supercar" class. In order to accomplish this, it had to adhere to current FIA homologation standards, which required them to provide 200 road-legal prototypes of any intended competitive vehicle. The Audi Sport Quattro was created, and the rest is history. Its power was significantly enhanced from the 200PS of the regular wheelbase "civilian" variant to a formidable 306PS, with the 320mm reduction in wheelbase length largely intended to maximise weight and flexibility in the forests.

There were only ever 214 1:1 Sport Quattro models made, but we have obtained the licence to make the vehicle in slightly greater quantities at a more affordable price and size in partnership with Audi! With its 8000kv Brushless power, Permanent 4WD, 2S LiPo compatibility, and precise 2.4GHz FHSS Radio Gear, this new release reflects our passion for all things motor sport and rally related.
