With the FTX DR8 Desert Racer, be ready to join the speed arena! Electric brushless aficionados seeking a quick performer with a little scale realism will undoubtedly be drawn to the DR8, since it is big, vicious, and fast.

The real challenge will be finding enough room to let the 4274 2000kv brushless motor and industry-leading 6S compatible Hobbywing speed control reach its maximum speed of 100 kph!

A strong foundation is necessary at these speeds, and the DR8 has a tried-and-true design with 3mm thick front and rear braced aluminium main chassis, 5mm thick front and rear aluminium shock towers, and reinforced moulded suspension components as standard to help absorb any high-speed crashes.

A hardened steel spur gear completes the nearly indestructible 4WD drivetrain, which also includes spiral toothed output and pinion gears and sealed, oil-filled metal-geared differentials.

Large barrel adjustable oil filled shock absorbers, front and rear anti-roll bars, and fully adjustable pivot ball suspension all help to deliver race-like handling and adaptability for various terrains.

The DR8 is completed with a traditional, mold-made tubular roll cage frame with printed Lexan panels and an extra wheel, reminiscent of a desert buggy. Super brilliant front and rear LED light bars complement the painted fire extinguishers and the intricately designed interior driver cockpit.

All you need to do is choose between 4S and 6S power. Just be sure you're up to the challenge!
